Born in Germany and raised in America, him and his brother left home at 13 to travel and learn the way of the warrior. Derrick's goal was to be stronger than his brother and show that his speed could overwhelm anyone's size or strength. He first helped his brother gather enough money for them to go to china by participating in underground fighting tournaments. While in china He bought 20lb wrist and leg weights to train with. On his travels threw china he grew a hatred for humans. He once saw a new born tossed on the street and left to die. disgusted by this he decided he wanted to leave china and go to Japan to learn ninjitsu. once again finding away to fight for money, he merely thought of it as a test of his skills. He showed little mercy to his opponents and almost killed a few. he struggled with the dark side of himself that craved killing. during one of his fights he fought a girl named Yuki from Japan  who's parents entered her for the money. not caring or even knowing this Derrick totally lost control of himself during his fight. Yuki being a very skilled fighter defeated him. seeing the darkness in his eyes she came to him after the fight offering help. she convinced her parents to bring him and Phillip back to Japan with them. thus where their story begins.
