when he was very small he and his parent were on a ship sailing toward Japan. he had no other relatives in America that were fit to take care of him so his patents were all he had. before the ship reached the Okinawa harbor is was attacked by terrorists. his parents tossed him in to the fleeing life boat before the ship exploded. the explosion killed his parents and sent Michael and his life boat flying. the impact of the water knocked Michael out and erased his memory. one of the men who rescued him felt terrible about the situation and raised Michael as his son.

it also turns out that the man who rescued young Michael was one of the few left in the world that still practiced the art of ninjutsu and as he raised Michael he taught him in the was of the ninja

after Michael's eighteenth birthday the old man took him to the roof of their home and was told the story of his real parents and how he had come to live with him. Michael confused by a torrent of mixed emotions fled to the main island of Japan were he began a search of who he really was. though angry with the world that surrounds him he attends the local high school and tries his best to stay out of trouble.....but everyone makes mistakes
